About SKF skateboard bearings

Roll with the engineering experience of one of the world's most established bearing manufacturers. SKF skateboard bearings combine SKF's long history of precision bearing technology with the demands of modern skateboarding, delivering smooth, low-friction performance for street, park and everyday skating.

SKF was founded in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 1907 after Sven Wingquist's invention of the self-aligning ball bearing. More than a century later, SKF bearings are used in demanding applications across industries around the world. The company also has a long connection with skateboarding, having produced skateboard bearings since the early 1980s before launching its dedicated modern skateboard range in 2022.

SKF bearings built for skateboarding

The SKF skateboard range includes standard skateboard bearings, pro signature bearing kits and SKF Ceramics. The standard and signature bearings use high-quality industrial steel, a glass-fibre-reinforced polyamide cage, low-friction grease and a specially designed low-friction shield setup. SKF's skateboard bearings are made in Italy.

The range is also backed by some of skateboarding's most recognised riders, including Oskar “Oski” Rozenberg, Ishod Wair, Alexis Sablone, Louie Lopez, Kader Sylla and Rayssa Leal. SKF's Oski Signature bearings, for example, were developed with the Swedish pro skater and feature artwork by David Stenström.
