Independent Trucks

Independent Trucks, also known as Indy, has been part of skateboarding since 1978. Founded in California by Fausto Vitello, Richard Novak, Jay Shiurman and Eric Swenson, the brand set out to make strong, reliable skateboard trucks built for the demands of skateboarding. Its “Built to Grind” slogan says a lot about the attitude behind the brand.

The Stage 11 is one of the most recognised truck models in skateboarding. Known for its established geometry, stable turning and durable construction, it works across street skating, skateparks, bowls and transition. Independent also offers lighter versions, including Hollow, Forged Hollow and Forged Titanium models, for skaters who want to reduce weight without changing their setup completely.

Choosing the right Indy truck size comes down to matching the axle width to your skateboard deck. Popular sizes include 139 for decks around 8.0", 144 for 8.25" and 149 for 8.5". Always check the manufacturer's size guide when choosing your trucks.

At Skateovation, shop Independent skateboard trucks and find the right Indy setup for your deck. Browse Stage 11 models and compare truck sizes and constructions before putting your next setup together.
