Sci-Fi Fantasy

Sci-Fi Fantasy is the independent skate brand created by professional skateboarder Jerry Hsu. It began around 2017 as a personal art project, before growing into a skateboard company with its own decks, clothing and accessories. Hsu initially had no big business plan in mind. The idea started with a name he liked and a simple run of caps that quickly caught people's attention.

The brand's visual identity is hard to mistake. Sci-Fi Fantasy graphics draw on retro corporate design, technology, science fiction and strange corners of pop culture. There's a playful mix of clean logos, unusual imagery and deliberately odd references. Some of that influence comes from Hsu's childhood in Silicon Valley, where both his parents worked as computer engineers. Office culture, computer conventions and electronics stores all helped shape the look.

Jerry Hsu is known for his influential skateboarding, including his parts in Enjoi's Bag of Suck and other classic skate videos. His creative work in photography and art also feeds into Sci-Fi Fantasy, giving the brand a distinct point of view. In 2025, the team released Endless Beauty, its first full-length skate video.
