Skateboard Café

Skateboard Café started in Bristol, UK, with a skate video made by Rich Smith in 2008. The name stuck, a few t-shirts followed, and by 2012 Rich Smith and Andy Makepeace had turned the idea into an independent skateboard brand. What began with filming friends and documenting the local scene gradually grew into a name recognised by skaters well beyond Bristol.

The brand has always kept skateboarding at the centre of what it does. Skate videos and team edits are a big part of the Café identity, alongside distinctive graphics inspired by vintage diner culture, music, art and everyday street life. The playful food and coffee references are part of the look, but there's a proper skate brand behind the name.

One of the brand's standout video projects is Alfresco, its full-length video released in 2015. Bristol's Lloyds skate spot has also played a big part in the Café story, including inspiring its collaboration with DC Shoes.
