The story behind Ace trucks:
Ace Trucks was founded in 2007 by Joey Tershay and Steve “Shrewgy” Ruge, two experienced skateboarders who set out to create the best-performing skateboard trucks they could. Building a new truck brand wasn't easy, but Ace gradually developed its reputation and assembled a team of riders who helped establish the brand within skateboarding.
In 2017, Joey Pulsifer joined Ace as the third partner, bringing new ideas focused on improving the strength and functionality of the trucks. Four years later, Ace introduced the AF1 in April 2021. The AF1 represented a major step forward for the company, using Ace's proprietary casting process and focusing on increased structural strength while keeping the geometry and feel that made Ace trucks distinctive.
The Ace Classic remains the original expression of the brand, while the AF1 range builds on that foundation with updated construction. Ace also offers AF1 Hollow trucks, featuring hollow axle pins and kingpins to reduce weight compared with standard AF1 models.
