Kilian about his new pro model 4Msb graffiti kilian zehnder:
about the inspiration for the graphic:
“I’ve been doing graffiti since I was like 15, since a very young age. I always enjoyed doing it. Not always in the streets, doing a little drawing on the side too, at home. You have a little sketch book, been drawing some tags. So this is kinda like over the years what came out.”
about the story behind the picture in the middle of the board, a graffiti wall in barcelona:
"I’ve never seen somebody doing something like that, like throwing a tag of the brand name and putting it in the middle of the board like that. I’m hyped, I’m stoked that we were able to combine some street culture that I really like, skateboarding and graffiti, and put it like that in my signature style."
“The whole story about this one is that extinguisher tag you know. I was just like, I want to throw up a big 4M with the extinguisher at a nice spot. We got the Barcelona beach, the wall. I always loved doing those, that’s really like my style.”
about the letters:
“I had the opportunity to design the board myself. So I did those tags like Pichação style tags. They’re kind of inspired by Brazilian graffiti type letters, it’s not the classic Pichação letters. It’s more mixed with some European style graffiti letters as well. Cause yeah that’s my writing, right here.”
about the words and the crews namned on the board:
“I threw up my crew, my gang you know: aitsch and parabolic. Parabolic is like our crew from Barcelona. Aitsch is from Zurich, Switzerland, that’s the homies that I grew up with. Forever in my heart, know what I’m saying. Basically like 25 homies or more, bunch of skaters.
And then parabolic is our newer thing with Luis Beltran (filmer) and a lot of homies from Barcelona, bunch of homies from Brazil too
And we’re about to bring out a video. I was just like yup that’s what I always like to write. So it was just natural for me to throw that in, like that. And then of course we got the four M’s, the 4M's: mission, motivation, mindset, movement. That’s the whole spirit behind 4M skateboards. 4Msb skateboards are lit, you know what I’m sayin."
