Jättar (giants) were powerful, colossal supernatural beings associated with the wild and untamed forces of nature.
In later swedish folklore, giants became part of the landscape itself.
Mountains and caves could be their homes, while boulders and unusual rock formations were sometimes said to be traces of their presence.
They could be dangerous and formidable, other Jättar were also known for their cunning or knowledge.
